DgDrive
Public on GitHubThe DgDrive is an ultra-stable, ultra-low-noise digital laser current driver. With an unparalleled current noise specification of 70 pA/√Hz (500 mA version), and due to its unique current source architecture, it supports all laser diodes and applications from UV to NIR. Both the 250 mA (DgDrive-250) and 500 mA (DgDrive-500) versions support a compliance voltage of up to 10 V, which is particularly important for blue laser diodes in noise-critical setups.
The driver was designed and tested for the most demanding tasks, such as qubit manipulation, optical clocks, and high-resolution spectroscopy. It can be remotely controlled via USB for larger setups, but also through the digital front panel for solitary lasers. A 1 MHz bandwidth servo input with a flat frequency response enables the laser to be easily modulated and locked to optical references. Heavy power rail filtering ensures that the rest of the lab stays off the your laser line to deliver unsurpassed experimental results, even under noisy external conditions.
The DgDrive features advanced, programmable over-current and over-voltage protection features make sure the laser diode stays within its operational parameters, even in case of faults or user error.

1″-Photodetector
Public on GitHubThe 1″-Photodetector is a low-noise free-space photodetector with an 8 MHz bandwidth and a rise time of 42 ns. It is available in two versions: VIS-NIR (Osram SFH-203) or NIR (Osram SFH-FA), which blocks blocks ambient visible light up to 750 nm. The 1″-photodetector demonstrates exceptional performance in applications such as optical power control loops and power monitoring, with a noise floor of <3 pA/√Hz and a sensitivity of 31 V/mW. It can be easily mounted in a 30 mm cage system using a standard Ø 1″ cage plate.
Key features:
- Maximum laser power: 320 µW (340 µW for SFH203-FA)
- Sensitivity: 31 V/mW at 800 nm (29 V/mW at 850 nm for SFH203-FA)
- Bandwidth: 8 MHz
- Noise: < 3 pA/√Hz
- NEP: 5 pW/√Hz at 800 nm
- Power supply: ±16 mA idle at ±12.5 V to ±20 V
